Just Stand
By Pastor Warren Richardson
“Samuel and Saul's relationship"
1 Samuel 15:10-30,35
Continuous victories stop the devils movement always!
Saul built an altar and a few months later a monument to himself.
(10-14)
What does that say to you?
“It grieved Samuel and he cried out to the Lord all night!”
This chapter serves as a textbook study of “Animus.”
What is Animus?
Animus
A deep seated feeling of hatred, hostility, and prejudice to someone or something.
At the end of Saul's reign, an irreversible break had occurred between the two!
(15-23)
The severity of the word of God changes everything!
Obedience = Faithfulness = Consistency
Samuels purpose is unyielding obedience to God!
Ego = “Edging God Out”
Saul and the witches of Endor
(24-30) and Chapter 28 in 1 Samuel
We have fallen far from where we started!
God means nothing to Saul accept getting what he wants!
Saul is asking the wrong person from the wrong place for guidance!
Samuel the prophet on many occassions doesn’t bring a fresh word. He draws attention to words already given by God!
SO:
Don’t give up - Keep standing
Get up on the inside
Boldly pursue all that matters
Don't Quit - Ever
